Queensland state nomination program UPDATE as at 28 June 2019
The Queensland business and skilled programs are currently closed and will not open on 1 July 2019. The programs are scheduled to open by the end of July (date-to-be confirmed). Please do not contact BSMQ to enquire when the programs will open. We are currently working with stakeholders to finalise the 2019-20 programs.
Businessand skilled applicants must not submit an EOI for the Queensland programs on 1 July 2019 or before the programs officially open. Previous EOI’s or EOI’s submitted before Queensland programs open will not be picked up.
Skilled applicants must also ensure they have an occupation on the new QSOL before submitting an EOI.
The Business and Skilled Migration Queensland BUSINESS program is OPEN from today 22 July 2019.
FOR BUSINESS VISA APPLICANTS ONLY: For those who lodged an EOI from 1 July 2019 we will pick these up from SkillSelect today. If you lodged an EOI prior to 1 July 2019 , and have not received an invitation, please re-lodge your EOI on SkillSelect from today. The new EOI must have a new lodgement number, please do not update an existing EOI.
Please refer to BSMQ factsheets for details of the business program. Please ensure all NEW VERSIONS of forms are used when applying for state nomination.
Please note: The Business and Skilled Migration Queensland SKILLED program REMAINS CLOSED . We will advise regarding the opening of the skilled program shortly.
Due to the unprecedented demand of the skilled program the BSMQ skilled program is temporarily CLOSED.
Expressions of interest (EOI’s) submitted for SkillSelect after 5.00pm AEST 30 July 2019 will not be considered at this time.
EOIs submitted from 29–30 July 2019 (5.00pm AEST) will be accepted and considered over the coming months.
Due to this demand, it is unlikely that the subclass 489 program will reopen (for skilled applicants) due to the closure for nominations on 10 September 2019 (to be replaced by the new subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa).
The subclass 190 program will reopen in due course, and BSMQ will publish the re-opening date via www.migration.qld.gov.au and on social media channels.
