- Insurance Investigator 599611保险调查员属于VETASSESS评估的Group D职业，要求至少有等同于澳洲Certificate III层次学历才可以。申请人可以通过以下四类途径之一满足评估要求：
- Certificate IV层次学历且专业是与提名职业高度相关的，那么需要近五年内有一年与提名职业相关的工作经验
- Certificate IV层次学历但专业不是与提名职业相关的，那么需要近五年内有两年与提名职业相关的工作经验
- Certificate II层次学历且专业是与提名职业高度相关的，那么需要近五年内有三年与提名职业相关的工作经验
- 如果申请人的相关工作经验是在获得Certificate III或者Certificate IV学历之前的，那么可以是近五年内有一年相关工作经验的基础上，有额外三年相关的工作经验。

- 检查导致保险索赔的事故现场以确定原因和影响 Examining scenes of incidents resulting in insurance claims to determine causes and effects
- 与证人和索赔人面谈，以获得评估索赔有效性所需的详细信息，并确定事故、损坏和损失的责任方，并准备陈述和报告 Interviewing witnesses and claimants to obtain details required to assess the validity of claims and identify the parties responsible for accidents, damage and loss, and preparing statements and reports
- 检查受损的建筑物、设备和机动车辆并估算维修成本 Inspecting damaged buildings, equipment and motor vehicles and estimating the cost of repairs.

Insurance Investigators have the ability to understand and apply legislation and principles relevant to the investigation of insurance claims. An insurance claims investigator’s primary responsibility is to verify that an insurance claim submitted by a client is valid. They usually work for insurance companies or specialist firms.
Please note that roles as Insurance Brokers or Insurance Agents cannot be considered under this occupation. These occupations are classified separately in ANZSCO.

While the VETASSESS Skills Assessment for migration purposes is distinct from an assessment for professional membership or registration purposes, you are advised to provide copies of relevant professional membership/ licensing documents (including from overseas) if held.
You are also further encouraged to provide evidence of membership of or affiliation to industry or professional bodies; and copies of any relevant prizes, certificates or other forms of commendation.
You should also provide details of any relevant training or professional development courses undertaken. These may be detailed in the Curriculum Vitae/Resume provided.
