NSAA的会员分为7个等级：

There are seven classes of NSAA Membership:
- Licensed Architect: Individuals who practice architecture in Nova Scotia
- Intern Architects : Individuals intending to enrol in the Internship in Architecture Program as a route to becoming a Licensed Architect
- Associate Member : Individuals who previously held a Licensed Architect membership, and wish to reclassify to a non-practising membership
- Retired Architect : Individuals who previously held a Licensed Architect membership, and wish to reclassify to a non-practising retired membership
- Temporary Licence : Individuals who wish to apply for a project specific licence
- Student Member : Architecture Students
- Honourary Member: An individual who has made a significant contribution to architecture

想在加拿大建筑师注册委员会申请注册的个人需满足以下条件：
- (a)以规定的形式提交申请；
- (b)支付规定的费用；
- (c)提交证明材料，证明有指定的建筑师认证机构颁发的证书或已经完成了该委员会认可的同等学历；
- (d)提交证明材料，证明已经有了该委员会认可的工作经验；
- (e)提供规定的责任保险证明；
- (f)成功通过了规定的考试；
- (g)提供证明材料，证明无犯罪记录，有良好的品德，能够安全在建筑领域执业；
- (h)满足规定的其他注册要求；
申请注册，需提交法案19款（1）（a）到（g）规定的材料和费用；注册续期需提交法案26款（a）到（g）规定的材料和费用；同时申请注册和续期还需要提交以下材料：
- （a）如果申请人持有其他司法管辖区的注册执照，需提供具有良好声誉的证明材料；
- （b）已经完成职业发展活动的证明材料；
- （c）具备建筑领域执业能力的证明材料；
Every individual applying to the Board for a licence shall
- (a) submit an application in the form approved by the by-laws;
- (b) pay the fee approved by Council;
- (c) submit evidence satisfactory to the Board that such individual holds a certificate from a designated architectural certification board or has completed such other education as the Board deems equivalent;
- (d) submit evidence satisfactory to the Board that such person has completed practical work experience required by the Board;
- (e) provide confirmation of liability insurance as prescribed by the regulations;
- (f) have successfully completed examinations as required by Council;
- (g) provide evidence satisfactory to the Board to establish the applicant is of such good character as to safely and ethically engage in the practice of architecture; and
- (h) complete such other requirements for licensing as set out in the regulations.
In addition to the information, documents and fee required by clauses 19(1)(a) to (g) of the Act for an applicant for a licence and by clauses 26(a) to (f) of the Act for an applicant for a renewal of a licence, an applicant applying for a licence or renewal of a licence must give all of the following to the Board:
- (a) if the applicant holds or held a licence in another jurisdiction, a certificate of standing from each of the other jurisdictions in which the applicant holds or held a licence, establishing whether there are any disciplinary findings against the applicant that may preclude or restrict the applicant’s practice in the Province, and establishing whether there are any outstanding complaints against the applicant in the other jurisdictions;
- (b) evidence that the applicant has completed the professional development activities required by Council;
- (c) evidence that satisfies the Board that the applicant remains current and competent in the practice of architecture."

Practice architecture in the Province of Nova Scotia.Use the title "Architect", "Licensed Architect", or the initials "NSAA" after his/her name.Hold office as an elected member of the NSAA Council and serve on NSAA Committees.Attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings of the NSAA.Receive correspondence/notices to the NSAA membership.

There are four options for applications for Licensed Architects:
- First Time Applicant (Not currently licensed anywhere)
- Applicants Licenced Elsewhere in Canada
- Applicants under The US Inter-Recognition Agreement
- Applicants trained and licensed/registered internationally
NOTE: Architects must register both themselves and their firms with the NSAA in order to practice on behalf of a Corporation, Parntership, or Partnership of Corporations in the Province of Nova Scotia. Click here for more information.

An individual applying to become a Licensed Architect for the first time in any jurisdiction must:
- Submit the appropriate application completed in full (Click for Application)
- Provide confirmation of successful completion of the Internship in Architecture Program (if completed outside of Nova Scotia)
- Successfully complete a Pre-Licensing Interview with the NSAA Board of Registration
- Submit valid Certificate of Insurance demonstrating appropriate Professional Liability Insurance coverage(if applicable)
- Submit application for Corporate Permit (if applicable)
- Submit two forms of reference
- Submit appropriate payment
加拿大互惠申请人Canadian Reciprocity Applicant
已在加拿大其他司法管辖区注册的申请人，需满足以下条件：
- 提交完整的申请
- 让曾经注册的司法管辖区将你的注册/执照表直接交到NSAA

An individual currently licensed/registered in an American jurisdiction, must:
- Submit the appropriate application completed in full
- If applicant is currently licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction, Click Here
- If applicant is not currently licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction, Click Here
- Have the NCARB Certificate Record in Support of Application For State Registration submitted directly to the NSAA
- NCARB Certificate Record only required if applicant is not currently licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction

国际（加拿大境外）受训申请人Internationally Trained Applicant

The Broadly Experienced Foreign Architects (BEFA) Program streamlines the process for foreign-trained architects to become certified for licensure/registration in Canada. It is a bilingual program developed by the eleven Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA).
The BEFA program assesses broadly based experience of foreign architects against Pan-Canadian standards of competency for practice in Canada.
Foreign architects who meet the Program eligibility requirements can apply for BEFA Certification through a process which consists of an on-line self-assessment and an interview with licensed architects.

Excerpt from Section 6 of the Regulations:
- (1) In addition to meeting the requirements of Sections 14 and 15 of the Act, to be entitled to membership as an intern architect an individual must
- (a) have educational qualifications certified by a designated architectural certification board; and
- (b) be enrolled in an intern architect program approved by Council.
- (2) Except as otherwise provided in these regulations, an intern architect may serve on committees.
- (3) An intern architect may attend but must not vote at meetings of the Association."
建筑实习项目Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) - 飞出国

The IAP is a national program administered by all Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA) - in Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Association of Architects (NSAA) is the adminstrator of the IAP.
To enroll into the IAP, an applicant must:
- Acquire CACB Certification.

While enrolled in the IAP, an Intern Architect must complete the following requirements:
- Acquire a minimum of 3,720 hours of specified experience in a variety of categories as listed in the IAP Manual, and submit experience records in the form of Canadian Experience Record Books upon the accumulation of 900-1,000 hours of experience (roughly 6 months)
- Pass one of the two available options for recognized examinations
- a. The Examinations for Architects in Canada (ExAC)
- b. The Architect Registration Examinations (ARE)
- Successful interview with members of the Board of Registration
