因为入境禁令的限制， 大多数人并不能申请边境工签或者在边境录指纹。 目前只有当您满足以下所有条件时，才可以申请边境工签。
- 从美国入境加拿大
- 有一个入境加拿大后的隔离14天的计划
- 持有有效的job offer
- 必须满足申请边境工签的其他条件
去加拿大之前必须确保自己符合申请work permit的条件，如果需要，还要做个体检。
到达入境口岸时和移民官说明您需要申请work permit, 移民官会检查：
- 您的护照或其他旅行证件
- 是否符合申请work permit的条件
- 对于需要体检的人，移民官会检查您有效的体检证明
如果您申请特定雇主工签If you’re applying for an employer-specific work permit
如果您从事的工作需要LMIA，您需要携带:
- job offer
- LMIA复印件
- LMIA 号码
- 您符合将要从事的工作资质和经验证明
如果您要申请开放式工签If you’re applying for an open work permit
如果您符合申请open work permit的条件，在COVID-19入境禁令实行期间，您必须持有效的job offer.
Who can apply for an open work permit?
You may be eligible for an open work permit if you:
- are an international student who graduated from a designated learning institution and are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program
- are a student who’s no longer able to meet the costs of your studies (destitute student)
- applied for permanent residence in Canada
- are a dependent family member of someone who applied for permanent residence
- are the spouse or common-law partner of a skilled worker or international student
- are the spouse or common-law partner of an applicant of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
- are a refugee, refugee claimant, protected person or their family member
- are under an unenforceable removal order
- are a temporary resident permit holder
- are a young worker participating in special programs
