If you need to give your biometrics, CIC sends a biometric instruction letter to you either by mail or through your MyCIC account when you apply. You must bring a paper copy of this letter with you to a visa application centre (VAC) or application support centre (ASC) when you go in person to give your biometrics. As of the dates below, citizens of these countries and territory have to give their biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) within 30 days of when they submit an application for a visitor visa, study permit, or work permit.
