- 10+ years of management experiences in a related industry with a similar role is highly desired
- Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a start-up company and/or in a young company in its starting and booming stages
- A forward thinker who can predict multiple outcomes of a given purchasing process and ensure efficiency
- Individually creating adaptable business or purchase plan both in short and long term
- Understanding of process and global distribution networks, resolving problems and implement business solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills and be able to successfully collaborate with clients and co-workers
- Extensive experience in a leadership role working with multiple departments and managing buyers in a fast-paced environment
- Negotiating returns to vendors, coordinating the credit of replacement, and securing further pertinent information regarding the rejection or return
- Develop and implement short and long-term procurement strategies and metrics designed to ensure that we are fiercely competitive in regards to our costs, quality, and service levels
- Mentor, develop, and lead a developing Procurement Team
- Working with our Sales and Marketing Management team, responsible for understanding the marketplace we serve, the vendors who service it, and proactively ensuring that we are on the forefront of servicing emerging niche markets
- Review your team’s analysis on buying patterns to balance meeting company inventory turn requirements and customer on-time demands
- Manage day-to-day procurement responsibilities, including daily purchase order requirements and providing timely responses to sourcing requests from our sales team
- Source, develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
