一般入学要求:
- 1、获得本科学位且最近3年(90学时)的课程平均分达到2.67(%70)以上;
- 2、此外,申请材料须符合新省教育局的教师资格评审条件,阿卡迪亚大学教育学士的教师资格证书可转为国内外任何地方的证书类型;
- 3、省级法律规定学生入学之前要通过儿童虐待和犯罪检查。
申请程序

1、阿卡迪亚大学招生办公室完成平均分评估后,申请材料将送至教育学院。完整的申请材料须包括:
- 1)入学申请表;
- 2)手续费;
- 3)成绩单;阿卡迪亚大学学生提交一份本科成绩单,其他学校学生需提供两份官方成绩单复印件。注:申请前,所有留学生成绩单必须交由新斯科舍省教育局评估;
- 4)补充表格。 文章(A部分)、学习经历介绍(B部分)、学术/教师资格要求(C部分)、3封推荐信(D部分);

2、必要时需面试;

3、由于申请人数众多,教育学院不会一对一进行拒录原因反馈,希望申请人在以下项目中仔细填写,以便增大录取几率:平均分、可教授课程、推荐信、个人陈述和学习经历;

4、阿卡迪亚大学将对所有申请材料进行严格审查,并非所有符合条件的申请人都将录取,校方保留录取与拒录资格;

注:教育学院规定,申请人由于某些因素不符合平均分要求的2.67(70%),且并不是每个申请人都有机会参与与儿童或青少年从事就业或志愿活动。 我们敦促申请人确定其审慎情况的详细情况。

Admission Information

General Admission Requirements: _Please select Elementary or Secondary for requirements specific to that program.
1. A recognized Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.67 (70%) GPA in the last three years (90 credit hours) of undergraduate study.
2. In addition to the above, applications are also evaluated to assess Nova Scotia Teacher Certification academic prerequisites. Sole authority to issue teaching certificates rests with the Nova Scotia Department of Education. A degree or a transcript of credit from a university is not a certificate or authority to teach in Nova Scotia. The Acadia Bachelor of Education degree normally results in the awarding of the ITC (Initial Teaching Certificate) by the Nova Scotia Department of Education, which is transferable across Canada and internationally. Provincial regulations require successful candidates to pass a child abuse registry and criminal record check before their first field placement.
Application Process:
- Upon completion of the GPA assessment by the Acadia Admissions Office, complete applications are forwarded to the School of Education for evaluation by faculty. Complete applications would include the following:
a) Application for Admission form
b) Processing fee
c) Transcripts. TWO official copies from every post secondary institution attended, except Acadia University transcripts.
NOTE: Prior to applying, all international transcripts must be assessed by the Nova Scotia Department of Education.
d) Supplementary Forms. Essay (Part A), Experience Profile (Part B), Academic/ Teacher Certification Requirements (Part C), Three References (Part D)
- An interview may be required.
- Due to the volume of applications received, the School of Education is not able to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful candidates. Should you wish to reapply consider enhancing your application in the following areas: GPA, variety of teachable courses, references, personal statement, and your experience profile.
- Applicants will be carefully selected after examination of all relevant information. The number of applicants that can be admitted in any one year is restricted. Not all applicants who meet the minimum admission requirements will be interviewed/ admitted. The university reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate.

NOTE: The School of Education recognizes that certain extenuating circumstances may have prevented some applicants from meeting the 2.67 (70%) GPA requirement and that not everyone has equal opportunities to engage in employment or volunteer activities with children or adolescents. We urge applicants to identify details of their extenuating circumstances for consideration.

1. You may apply online or download the BEd Application documents (updated November 1 each year). Please use the documents specifically for the ‘Bachelor of Education (BEd) program’.
