How to apply

To lodge a visa application for a Skilled - Regional (Subclass 489) (Provisional) - State & Territory Nominated visa, go to your SkillSelect EOI homepage and click on “Apply visa” for your invited subclass.

Please be aware that as an invitation has been issued, your EOI has been locked. If you choose not to lodge a visa application for a Skilled - Regional (Subclass 489) (Provisional) - State & Territory Nominated visa your EOI will be re-activated after this invitation has expired.

In addition to being invited there are a number of other requirements that you will need to meet to make a valid application. Your application will not be valid unless you satisfy all of those requirements.

An invitation does not guarantee that you will be able to make a valid application or be granted a visa.

Once a valid application has been made there are further criteria to be satisfied before a visa can be granted.

Correct claims in your EOI

When you lodge a visa application from this invitation you will be required to provide evidence supporting the claims you made in your EOI. If the information provided in your EOI is not correct, and you proceed to lodge a visa application, this may result in your application being refused, and your visa application fee will not be refunded. If the claims in your EOI

are incorrect or overstated, and you cannot support these claims in your visa application, there may be adverse consequences for future visa applications. We strongly recommend you ensure your information is correct before lodging a visa application. You can view your claims in SkillSelect, and at the end of this message.

If you are unable to support your EOI claims before you lodge your application you have the option to let this invitation lapse, then ensure your claims are accurate and submit a new or revised EOI.
