Fee increase for paper-based visitor visa applications

Fees for paper applications for visitor visas and for group visitor visas will increase on 21 November 2016.
Fees for online applications for visitor visas will remain the same. These fee increases were first signaled a year ago, but delayed to allow affected groups time to adjust.
Paper-based visitor visa applications will cost NZ$149 for visitors from the Pacific or NZ$184 for visitors from other parts of the world. Group and Approved Destination Status (ADS) group applications will also increase to NZ$95 for group visitor applicants and NZ$60 for ADS group applicants. These new prices include the immigration levy.
People applying for visitor visas online will continue to pay the lower fee of either NZ$130 for visitors from the Pacific, or NZ$165 for visitors from elsewhere.
New Zealand’s fees remain broadly comparable to competitor countries.
