  • The objective of Transit Visa instructions is to ensure that only people with genuine and lawful intentions pass through New Zealand en route to other destinations.
  • This objective is achieved by scrutinising the intentions of certain foreign nationals who plan to transit New Zealand.

N1.1 过境旅客的定义Definition of 'transit passenger’

过境旅客人包括：

  • 来自其他国家，目的地是第三国家且从新西兰过境者；且
  • 待在新西兰期间，申请人能够：
  • 一直待在去新西兰所乘的交通工具上；
  • 待在一个移民控制区域；
  • 在警察的监督下。

Transit passengers are persons who:

  • arrive in New Zealand from another country while in transit to another overseas destination; and
  • throughout the entire period during which they are in New Zealand, remain:
  • on board the craft they came to New Zealand on; or
  • in an immigration control area; or
  • in the custody of the Police.
