Duties and Responsibilities
- Installation, support, and maintenance of customer IT network equipment, including Cloud technology
- Installation and design of IP security cameras systems
- Installation and design of Access control/alarm systems
- Installation and support of wireless point to point and distribution equipment
- Install burg, fire, CCTV and access systems, supervise an installation crew
- Perform service calls on burg, fire, CCTV and access systems
- Monitoring and supporting systems with on-call availability as required
- Diagnose system failures and identify necessary repairs
- Good customer interaction skills are a necessity
- Using a courteous and professional approach to address customer questions and concerns;
- Discussing equipment placement, cable routing, paperwork completion, etc.
- Determining which tools are needed for scheduled installations
- Notifying appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations
- Maintain knowledge of new technologies in the above fields of work
Requirements and Desired Skills
- Post-secondary education in computer engineering or electronics engineering would be preferred
- Project management experience is an asset
- Networking, specialized in corporate network configuration: 2 years
- Access Control Installation: 2 years
- Surveillance Installation: 2 years
- Alarm Installation: 2 years
- Expert knowledge of CCTV, access control, burglar alarm systems, and design testing plans
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, expertise, and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of digital circuits and electrical systems
- Possesses basic construction knowledge
- Need strong problem-solving skills, should be detail-oriented and need to be able to operate complex electronic equipment. Should also have advanced computer skills and must understand telecommunications technology
