2015年4月18日澳大利亚移民法修正案会正式实施，新修正案对移民的影响主要是雅思成绩有效期判定问题，雅思有效期依然是3年，判定日期是从申请人获得ITA邀请时往前推3年，这个与对年龄的判断标准一致了。
在这之前，雅思成绩是按提交签证申请时间算的，也就是ITA后60天内那段时间，但这段时间内总有因为ITA时雅思成绩有效，但递交签证申请时雅思已经过期的尴尬局面。
其他就是对留学生移民的利好消息，例如485雅思要求降低。变化不大，都算利好。
• allow an English language test score to be accepted for points tested skilled visas if the test was conducted three years before the applicant was invited to apply for the visa, rather than three years before the application was lodged.
